Meter Services Technician I-III

About the Role

This position collects accurate meter reads on assigned routes using mobile and hand-held devices, performs basic meter maintenance, and handles disconnects and reconnects of water service. It also installs, inspects and replaces residential meters and registers and participates in the Department on-call rotation and the Town's snow removal program. Pay is $27.06 to $45.03 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Collect accurate meter reads on assigned routes via mobile and hand-held devices
• Respond to customer service work orders and conduct routine pressure tests on the water system
• Perform disconnects and reconnects of water service due to delinquencies and non-payment
• Install, inspect, maintain and replace residential meters and registers
• Conduct routine inspections for residential meter sets as part of the certificate of occupancy process
• Participate in the Department on-call rotation and the Town's snow removal rotation

Requirements

• High School graduate with one year of related work experience preferred
• Valid Colorado Driver's License required
• Valid Colorado Class A CDL with Tank Vehicle endorsement required
• Technician II requires two-plus years of related experience and specific certifications
• Technician III generally requires four to six years of related experience and certifications
