Eligibility Case Manager I or II

About the Role

Douglas County seeks dedicated individuals to join our team as Eligibility Case Managers. In this role, you will be responsible for determining eligibility for essential programs such as Food Assistance and Medicaid, ensuring clients receive the support they need.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with applicants and recipients to collect necessary eligibility information.
• Gather and review information regarding financial and non-financial criteria for assistance programs.
• Inform applicants of eligibility requirements and clarify appeal rights and procedures.
• Approve or deny applications while keeping recipients informed of changes in law and eligibility requirements.
• Utilize computer systems for accurate data entry and case management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Two years of full-time public contact experience.
• Experience determining eligibility for assistance programs preferred.
• Familiarity with Colorado Benefit Management Systems (CBMS) is advantageous.
