About the Role

The Community Homeless Navigator will support the Homeless Engagement, Assistance and Resource Team (HEART) by connecting individuals experiencing homelessness to necessary services. This position involves conducting assessments and providing resources to help stabilize clients and assist them in achieving housing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Community Development and Assistant Director of Community Services in administering assigned projects.
  • Work with the Douglas County Sheriff Office to respond to community calls regarding homelessness.
  • Partner with local municipalities to provide a collaborative response to homelessness requests.
  • Visit camps and other locations to distribute community program information.
  • Assess safety situations and provide basic first aid as needed.
  • Compile and present data to stakeholders regarding services utilized.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field for Navigator I.
  • 1+ years of experience in case management or related duties for Navigator I.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience for Navigator II.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License required.
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
