Key duties include assists with leading and instructing a variety of activities such as swimming and inspects program facility and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for patrons.

Responsibilities

• Assists with leading and instructing a variety of activities such as swimming, games and sports
• Inspects program facility and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment for patrons
• Communicates with citizens and responds to their inquiries and concerns
• Ensures safety practices. Administers First Aid and performs CPR if necessary
• Greets and interacts with parents and guests
• Shops for and purchases supplies, refreshments and equipment for birthday parties
• Sets up birthday party room prior to parties. Ensures directional signs are posted so guests can find the room
• Cleans room after birthday party

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Experience in customer service preferred
• Licenses and/or Certifications Required: CPR and First Aid Certifications are required (which can be obtained at the Recreation Center) or ability to attain within 30 days of hire. A valid Colorado driver's license is required.
• Skill in administering First Aid and CPR
• Ability to physically access stores and to shop for supplies and refreshments
• Skill in caring for children and responding to their needs
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in accordance with established Town policies and procedures
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and coworkers

Compensation

• Rate: $16 per hour
