About This Event
Douglas County's semiannual Dougnad — named for the Scandinavian tradition of dugnad, which brings family, friends and neighbors together for fellowship and community service. Volunteers gather Saturday, October 24 at 8:30am at The Lone Tree Hub for a pancake breakfast and assignment distribution, then fan out for simple yard work projects — pulling weeds and hand-pruning plants, planting flowers, and raking leaves — across Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Parker.
Individuals, families and groups are welcome to volunteer; adults 60+ can request assistance with their yards. Register at the county's Dougnad page or call 303-660-7407.
