The 2026 Colorado Bluegrass Festival

The Colorado Bluegrass Festival - formerly the secret festival known as RockyGronk - brings nine local acoustic bands to McAwesome Ranch in Castle Rock for a night of pickin', community and Colorado bluegrass. Now in its sixth year, each act plays three of its favorite songs in the traditional single-microphone style: Meadow Mountain, ALBAND, Jake Leg, Before the Sun, Road Pony, Sturtz, Tonewood String Band, Salome Songbird, and Hazel and the Nuts. Doors open at 5pm, performances run 7:30-10:30pm, then the celebration carries on into the night with camping on the hill; doors close at noon the following day. Billed as 'by musicians, for musicians,' it is an intimate, all-ages, family-friendly night where you can listen close and meet the artists. Camping (trailers welcome) is included with admission; food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and merch are available for purchase. Dogs are welcome, parking is free, and there are porta-potties and water on-site - bring a refillable bottle plus chairs or a blanket. Tickets $47 at TheColoradoBluegrassFestival.com.
