Sugar Spoon Candies & Ice Cream

We stopped in (September 2026): The shop has changed hands — longtime owner Gayle sold it to Megan and her husband, who also run Rock Liquors across Third Street. We talked with Megan on the visit. They have moved a few things around inside, and the most obvious change is that you can actually see the ice cream now — it used to be easy to walk in and not realise they scoop at all. Prices have stayed the same under the new owners, and the shop is now open seven days a week. We walked out with Nerds and bubble gum from the candy wall — no ice cream, only because we'd already had some from the Glacier Ice Cream truck at Castle Rock's Oktoberfest, a few blocks away at Wilcox Square, the same afternoon.
