Certified Surgical Technician Contract

About the Role

As a Certified Surgical Technician, you will assist in pre-operative phases and ensure the operating room is sterile. You will play a crucial role in maintaining surgical instruments and conduct counts throughout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, and positioning patients.
• Maintains sterile conditions in the operating room.
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.

Requirements

• State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 2+ years of technical experience required.
• Technical/Vocational School required; Associate preferred.
