About the Role

The Radiology Technologist plays a critical role in the imaging department, operating x-ray equipment and performing procedures to ensure optimal patient care. Responsible for explaining procedures to patients and implementing established protocols, the technologist must maintain technical and patient-care skills while providing diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to create radiographs of targeted body areas.
• Perform x-ray therapy under supervision of a Radiologist.
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns.
• Maintain expert technical and patient care skills.
• Ensure quality diagnostic results for a diverse patient population.

Requirements

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current ARRT certification.
• Maintain current registry through continuing education.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Ability to think critically and make decisive judgments in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience lifting patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
