Radiology Technologist

About the Role

As a Radiology Technologist, you will operate x-ray equipment and perform procedures to aid in patient care. You'll work under the supervision of a Radiologist and explain procedures to patients, addressing their concerns and providing quality care.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Perform x-ray therapy on patients under supervision of a Radiologist.
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns.
• Serve patients in emergency and outpatient departments.
• Maintain expert technical and patient-care skills.
• Provide quality diagnostic results.

Requirements

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current ARRT certification.
• Must maintain current registry through continuing education.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, and moving patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Prefer 2 years recent acute care experience.
