Radiology Technologist

About the Role

The Radiology Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. They provide excellent patient care and ensure adherence to established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to create radiographs of requested areas.
• Perform x-ray procedures for patients in various care settings.
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns.
• Maintain technical and patient-care skills to ensure quality diagnostic results.
• Adhere to established protocols for patients of all ages.

Requirements

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program.
• Current certification by ARRT.
• Must maintain current registry through continuing education.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently.
• Preferably 2 years of recent acute care experience.
