About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician II works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, performing tasks related to medication preparation and delivery. Responsibilities include compounding, stocking, and managing medication storage, contributing to quality patient care by ensuring efficient pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver medications to patient care units.
- Compounding non-sterile medications as required.
- Maintain automated dispensing cabinets and unit dose systems.
- Monitor medication storage for expiration dates and inventory management.
- Assist in billing and insurance claim processing.
Requirements
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy Certificate.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
