Patient Access Specialist

About the Role

This onsite, full-time role performs receptionist, registration and clerical duties associated with registering patients for services across UCHealth's south metro Denver ambulatory primary and specialty care clinics.

Responsibilities

• Meets with patients and caregivers to exchange information and documentation and address questions
• Communicates with referring provider offices and clinical departments to determine schedule
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification or authorization as necessary
• Determines and accepts required payments including co-pays and deductibles
• Ensures demographic, billing and clinical information is entered accurately and timely

• Demonstrated ability to perform registration and clerical duties in an ambulatory care setting
