Mid-Level Mechanical Designer - Kiewit Power Engineering

About the Role

Join Kiewit Power Engineering as a Mechanical Designer, where you will develop detailed designs, layouts, and 3D models for power generating plants and related facilities. Be part of a team recognized for its EPC expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft sketches, P&IDs, plans, sections, equipment layouts, and 3D models for power plant systems
• Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards
• Adhere to schedules and work assignments to ensure successful project completion
• Coordinate with other drafters, designers and team members assigned to a project
• Train and advise interns or new graduates
• Identify changes in scope of work and produce design changes as needed

Requirements

• At least 3 years' experience in design and/or drafting with a background in piping and/or mechanical systems
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Drafting/Design or engineering preferred
• Experience utilizing 3D programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, and similar software
• Ability to work independently with limited direction
