Mechanical Design Engineer - Industrial Facilities 1

About the Role

Kiewit is looking for mid-level and senior Mechanical Engineers to support its Industrial division, focusing on diverse projects such as biogas facilities and data centers. This role involves mechanical design, team collaboration, and project oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide design and oversight of mechanical systems for various industrial facilities
• Perform design calculations and equipment specifications for biogas and water treatment facilities
• Coordinate project mechanical design within multi-disciplinary teams
• Review project contracts and incorporate them into designs as needed
• Generate deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, and vendor shop drawings
• Support the construction team by answering RFIs and providing design solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required; PE preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of industry-related mechanical engineering experience
• Experience with data centers and cooling distribution units highly desired
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
