About the Role
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering seeks a dynamic Geotechnical/Tunneling Engineer to join its Design Engineering Services Group. The role involves working on civil infrastructure projects, performing engineering analysis and design for both temporary and permanent structures.
Responsibilities
- Provide support during proposal, design, and construction phases for ground conditions assessment
- Perform ground characterization and develop parameters for analyses
- Conduct geotechnical analyses including stability and construction impact assessments
- Assist in underground design aspects such as groundwater inflow estimates
- Lead the development of technical deliverables and coordinate with other disciplines
- Conduct fieldwork including inspections and support measures assessment
Requirements
- 8-15 years of geotechnical, mining, or geological engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Mining Engineering required; Master's preferred
- Professional Engineer registration in the U.S. and/or Canada
- Experience with field and lab data collection and interpretation
- Ability to travel to project sites
