Electrical Engineer - Industrial & Vertical Buildings

About the Role

Kiewit is seeking a Building Electrical Systems Engineer to support industrial and large commercial building projects by developing safe, code-compliant electrical systems from concept to construction. This role involves designing building electrical systems and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop building lighting and power distribution designs
• Perform Revit modeling and drawing creation
• Complete calculations for lighting, electrical loading, and energy codes
• Develop project building electrical specifications
• Perform bid review and shop drawing review
• Provide mentoring for entry-level engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
• Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code and energy codes
• Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with SKM or ETAP for load flow studies
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred
