About the Role
Kiewit is seeking a Building Electrical Systems Engineer to support industrial and large commercial building projects by developing safe, code-compliant electrical systems from concept to construction. This role involves designing building electrical systems and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop building lighting and power distribution designs
- Perform Revit modeling and drawing creation
- Complete calculations for lighting, electrical loading, and energy codes
- Develop project building electrical specifications
- Perform bid review and shop drawing review
- Provide mentoring for entry-level engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code and energy codes
- Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SKM or ETAP for load flow studies
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred
