Driver - Non CDL - Transportation

About the Role

Responsible for the transportation of students to and from schools and various other District activities in vehicles with a capacity of 14 passengers or less. This position is a driving position that does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Maintain student conduct that insures the safety of all students.
• Complete appropriate paperwork.
• Operate assigned Multifunction Vehicle (MFV) or small school bus (14 passengers or less) in compliance with procedures contained in the School Bus Operator's Handbook, including all local state and federal laws and regulations.
• Perform daily pre and post route safety inspections on assigned vehicle. Service vehicle as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Transport and/or assist with monitoring all School District student ridership including special education students with moderate to severe needs and challenging or emotional difficulties on school buses.
• Report all accidents/incidents immediately to transportation management or appropriate authorities.
• Coordinate with dispatch and scheduling personnel to ensure all required information is current and accurate.
• Attend training programs, meetings and in-services as required by the District or the state.
• Administer first aid as necessary.

• Drivers License - Colorado
• High School or Equivalent (Required)

Compensation

• Base pay: $23.04 - $29.94/hr
• Career range upper: $36.83/hr
