About the Role

Picture yourself on a dynamic team improving lives. Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in an Emergency Department setting, including direct care up to and including level 1 trauma designation.

Responsibilities

  • Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
  • Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes
  • Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective and evidence-based practice
  • Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
  • Welcomes new knowledge in a fast paced, innovative clinical environment
  • Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care
  • Direct care includes Emergency Department level of care up to and including level 1 trauma designation
  • BCEN's certification standards are included in evidence based care models

Requirements

  • Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
  • ENPC or PALS. TNCC or ATCN within 1 year.
  • Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
  • PALS Certification
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course
  • Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

Compensation

  • Night Shift Incentive Program: $1,600 quarterly ($6,400/year) for full time night shift RNs upon completion of orientation, in addition to base pay and night shift differential.
