About the Role

The Patient Access Specialist role is crucial in ensuring a smooth registration process for patients seeking services. This onsite position requires strong communication and organizational skills to facilitate patient interactions and necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

• Meets with patient and/or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation.
• Communicates with referring provider's office, clinical department(s), and/or other appropriate personnel.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
• Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles.
• Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system.
• Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
