About the Role

This role serves as a paid nurse internship that provides direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse. It is designed for nursing students who have completed Med/Surg I or its equivalent and requires the ability to gather vital signs and assist with personal care.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the delegation and/or supervision of a healthcare provider
• Gathers vital signs and measures blood glucose levels
• Performs sterile dressing changes and starts peripheral IVs
• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living
• Keeps care area stocked, cleaned, and orderly
• Welcomes new knowledge in a fast-paced clinical environment

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• Must be enrolled in, and in good standing, in an accredited nursing program
• Proof of enrollment in Med/Surg 1 or equivalent required at time of application
