About the Role

Performs radiographic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.
• Screens patients for any contrast allergies and ensures proper identification of patients prior to performing exams.
• Educates patients about the imaging procedure and addresses any concerns they may have.
• Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean imaging room.
• Performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
• Monitors patient condition and cares for patient comfort, safety, and privacy during imaging procedures.
• Obtains and documents patient history and explains procedures to patients.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment [Preferred]
• Associate's from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or JCERT Accreditation [Required]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Registered Radiology Technologist (RT)(R)(ARRT) [Required]

Compensation

• $64.68/hr.
• Base pay: $15.00 - $130.00/hr
