About the Role
This position is specifically for graduate students, specifically in a Masters program or Certificate program for School Counseling to work in a school site counseling program with training that will include individual student planning, responsive services, and systems support that aligns with the National Model.
Responsibilities
- Maintain community partnerships to support students and their families
- Participate in professional development activities to improve knowledge and skills
- Customize counseling services to meet individual student and school needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- Counsel individuals to help them understand and overcome personal, social or behavioral problems affecting their education
- Align the counseling program to school goals (School Improvement Plan)
- Deliver counseling services through classroom guidance lessons, small groups and individual counseling
- Demonstrate age-appropriate counseling practices that meet academic and personal/social needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Required), Master's Degree: Counseling
- Special Service Provider Intern Authorization - Colorado Department of Education
Compensation
- Base pay: $20.00/hr
