About the Role

Manages the daily operations of the security department.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operations of the security department.
  • Develops and enforces security procedures and regulations.
  • Acts as a liaison to all departments on security measures, procedures, and needs.
  • Monitors and follows up on complaints and investigations.
  • Assigns responsibilities and tasks to support department function.
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and policies/procedures.
  • Prepares to exhibit oversight of emergency management plans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read and write in the English language [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively in both written and oral forms internally and externally [Required]
  • Ability to motivate co-workers to function effectively as a team in a challenging environment [Required]
  • Ability to assess risk and follow a proactive approach [Required]
  • Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time frames [Required]
  • Ability to work cooperatively with health system staff [Required]
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to change in workload and work schedule [Required]
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form [Required]
  • Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills [Required]
  • Intermediate computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel [Required]
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop alternative solutions [Required]
  • Compliance with maintaining confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients, visitors, and/or employees [Required]
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions [Required]
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, law enforcement personnel, and to manage high-stress situations effectively [Required]
  • Associate [Preferred]
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
  • 2+ related work [Preferred]
  • Driver's License (DL) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]
  • International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) [Preferred]

Compensation

  • Base pay: $68,217.53 - $126,889.48/yr
