About the Role
The Support Equipment Technician serves as the backbone of our flight‑hardware production line, ensuring that every piece of test and manufacturing equipment operates at peak performance while the facility environment remains stable and compliant with aerospace standards. In this role you will execute preventive and corrective maintenance on thermal, thermal‑vacuum, and vibration test systems, perform calibrations, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, and keep detailed maintenance records that drive equipment reliability.
Responsibilities

- Keep detailed maintenance records that drive equipment reliability.
- Continuously monitor the plant's environmental controls, power quality, safety interlocks, and clean‑room conditions.
- Generate status reports that enable the production team to anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions.
- Provide rapid, knowledgeable support during circuit‑card, module, and box‑level testing.
- Help maintain test schedules and protect the integrity of satellite components.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience (typically 2 + years) maintaining equipment.
- Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Solid understanding of basic instrumentation, calibration procedures, and preventive‑maintenance practices.
- Ability to follow safety, clean‑room, and quality‑control protocols while working on a production floor.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electronic faults in a timely manner.
Compensation
- The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $51,800 - $91,310.
