About the Role

Join us at Lockheed Martin as an Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer where you will be responsible for the D5 Life Extension II program for avionics harness designs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide producible designs that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements, and work within an Integrated Product Team environment.
  • Prepare all applicable drawings and documentation needed for the fabrication and assembly of the hardware designed.
  • Coordinate with thermal, dynamic, stress, reliability, EMC, and survivability analyses to assure compliant designs. You will support manufacturing and test disciplines in minimizing cycle time and resolving problems.
  • Establish specifications for contract assemblers and raw-material vendors.
  • Interface with Parts Engineering, Quality Assurance and Purchasing regarding material quality and vendor performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical engineering including wire harness/cable design.
  • Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes (connectors, crimping, soldering, forming, testing).
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain to obtain a Secret clearance, thus a US Citizen.

Compensation

  • The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435.
